Vegetated Facade Concept

Architectural design

A vegetated facade study for an urban mid-rise work place. The facade is intended to be covered with low maintenance creeping vegetation. The vegetation's irrigation system also doubles as the colling mechanism.

The animations intent was to capture how the building sits in and interacts with its context.

The facade is composed of a rather traditional curtain wall system. It is not readily evident as most of it is clad over with a perforated cladding, tapered to give a sense of weight to the structure. The perforated act as screens, overhangs, and support the vegetation.
