A Chair + More Competition

The competition entry was for a versatile chair that one would actually have and use at home.

The piece has four modes: A seat, reclined daybed, bed, and folded up for easy transport. It would be either of balsa, teak or basswood. The change in function would be facilitated by double action brass hinges, and locked by a removable wooden key pieces. Originally the key would be in wood, but it could just as easily be of any metal.

The chair's profile and aesthetic would position it as a versatile mass market piece that could be used indoors and outdoors.
